WACO YMF-5 for X-Plane

Users of X-Plane will be happy to know that they now have access to the spectacular WACO YMF5, that the hard working Alabeo team previously developed for FSX. The wonderfully detailed model can now be flown by even more enthusiastic pilots and brighten even more hangars with its fun character and charm.

After its production in the 1930's, the WACO YMF5 was mainly used by training schools and private owners for its accessibility and shallow learning curve. And while from a distance it may appear to be rather cumbersome, it's actually an incredibly nimble aircraft with some uncommon design elements that make it both eye catching and enjoyable to fly. Capable of more than just scenic tours, this aircraft is no stranger to aerobatic flight. And considering its capabilities in the area, it only seems right that Alabeo would include an aerobatic smoke effect to help show off those amazing stunts.

The model is of a very high quality that boasts a lot of detail, made all the more impressive by fantastic textures that stand up very well when compared to the real thing. Superb material shines and reflections do wonders for this aircraft, accentuating its unique shape and creating some stunning visuals. While the default textures represent the aircraft as it existed in its golden years, an included blank texture is there for you so that you can create your own personalized liveries and have a WACO like no other.

The wide open-cockpit acts, in part, as a countermeasure to the staggered wing that hangs over you like the peak of a baseball cap, and compensates you with the potential for some breathtaking sights. Dark, stained wood with a glossy finish houses the central gauges in the cozy cockpit, mirroring the wood of the two-bladed propeller situated on the nose of the aircraft.

Professional flight dynamics deliver a true to life feel when piloting this aircraft. While a custom sound set helps to blend the feel of the aircraft with the simulated environment around you, turning your average flight into a truly atmospheric experience. 

Now released for X-Plane is Alabeo's WACO YMF-5 model.  With all the great features of the FSX version, this is X-Plane native.
