In the real-world, the airport caters for general aviation and regional air taxi services, including direct flights to the Kalaupapa National Historic Park, which is surrounded by beautiful scenery.
This authenticity is continued with the runway, which has volcanic rock and waves from the Pacific Ocean crashing against it immediately to one side and textured grass and vegetation to the other. This means that upon approaching the runway the virtual pilot will be awe-struck at the scenery unfolding in front of them.
Even the Moloka'i Lighthouse has been reproduced in stunning detail. And this particular building comes to life even more during the nighttime hours with an authentic rotating light that illuminates the immediate area.
