Piper PA-23 Aztec F 250 for FSX/P3D

I am kind of new to these flight sims so isn't like I've got years of experience here. But that being said, I don't see a review of this plane so I definitely think it warrants one. I have a couple of Alabeo planes and they do a very stunning display in the cockpit. I don't know if the instrumentation is exact to detail. I know the AP is a real PIA compared to newer systems, but that's probably the way it should be and you get used to the nuances. The Aztec is a joy to fly very smooth compared to high power single prop. Great way to simulate carrying 5-6 people and 2-300 pounds of luggage. It's flight dynamics with one engine are a real treat to try and land. It'll cruise at a 165-175 kias or slightly more with a tail wind with cruise settings. Alabeo includes a several pdf manuals for checklist and engine running which look like they are straight up scanned POHs of some kind. It's a nice touch. The average pilot that can afford the time necessary to get certified for one of these planes is probably spending his time in a little better more up to date multi engine or turbo prop but it's quite an affordable aircraft in the realm of aviation and I'm glad I have this in my collection.

As always simshack was responding quickly on my order, nice! The Piper PA-23 Aztec F 250 did load well in Prepar3D v4.5 and I love the sound of it, although I have never been in a Piper Aztec. She flies and sounds like a smooth and beautiful air-truck. The 7 liveries coming with the model (one White) are nice. FDE seems okay and Auto Pilot is responding well. Gauges look nice and do have proper tooltips as well. I have given an overall rating of 4/5 but considering the price and excellent documentation of the Aztec it should have been 4.5/5. Some cons in my opinion are: I have seen even nicer gauges from Alabeo aircraft. Not all the levers and knobs in the VC do have sounds. Overall a very nice aircraft and I do not have any regrets of buying_ Happy flights,

This aircraft is a true representation of the actual plane. I love the repaints and the attention to detail in the cockpit. Flight characteristics are accurate and predictable. The only problem I had was with the install. It would not install using the serial number I was given. Found out from Alabeo that the space after the first set of digits had to be eliminated. It installs correctly now.

I've been flying this aircraft a very long time. It truly is one of the best GA models out there. It looks great and behaves like the real thing. Great addition to any pilot's hangar!

Excellent flying characteristic. Well made in appearance. I have a lot of time in the Aztec.
