P-47 Razorback Accu-Sim for FSX
This is an aircraft that always carried a rather unique reputation within some flight circles, due to its rather unique look and feel; especially when you look at some of the other aircraft that would have been around at a similar time, it becomes quite hard to comprehend just how "The Jug" actually came to be! It's an aircraft with an engaging back story, and one that is very much learning more about if you enjoy aviation and want to see the real backstory behind the true "legends" of the various battles that have taken place over the years. Whether we like it or not, today aviation is almost synonymous with war and with slaughter - this is because ever since the First World War, there has been recognition that "Death from Above" is the easiest way to deal with any particular problems. The Thunderbolt was a bull-like aircraft that carried plenty of power in its frame, and was one of the most well recognized and consistent aircraft throughout the war.
The origins of this aircraft lie in the East, in Russia. Its design is entirely Russian, as the rather patchwork and bulky effects makes clear. The Russians cared little for historical opulence and made sure that their war machines done the trick rather than worrying about how they looked; the Thunderbolt is the perfect example of this kind of thinking of putting results and performance long before any kind of perceived style or quality in the shape or form.
As you might imagine, it carried the same traits as many Russian machines; harsh on the eyes, worse on the defenses of a base. This aircraft was known for making light work of outposts and opposition aircraft thanks to its impressive armada of equipment that served it so well.
In this package, you get access to the full Thunderbolt aircraft in all of its glory. From the stocky design inside and out that has been matched up perfectly to the obtuse flight dynamics that made the Thunderbolt such a loveable maverick, everything has been included. A2A Simulations, the developers, are some of the most well respected names within flight sim modding because they take the term "attention to detail" to a whole new level.
This remake of the Thunderbolt in all of its quickly-fused-together glory is a true testament to just how much potential FSX still has to offer thanks to a vibrant modding community. so whether you like military aviation, old planes or just have a real love for this era of aircraft you absolutely need to give this a chance. You'll love every last minute of the project, and get to fully enjoy some of the most intricate little changes and features that are sadly all to apparently missing from the vanilla FSX experience.
From faithfully remade designs and textures to flight dynamics that are made exactly to the last digit that they can possibly go to, this remake of the Thunderbolt is one of the most impressive around.
Key Features
-
This takes all of the authentic features that the Thunderbolt is supposed to carry, and puts all of those keys in place right away; now flying around with the booming strength of the aircraft feels a lot more appropriate! It's exceptionally fast at high altitudes so if you want to hit as high as possible without a massive dip in performance this is worth trying
-
Authentic engine design ensures that the aircraft runs how it would in the real world - this means that you'll get the same level of power and drive from the engine, whilst being able to deal with the most difficult of weather patterns with relative ease
-
Made by-the-book so if you are worried about things being missed out or not bringing all of the main features of the Thunderbolt to the table then you don't need to worry about a thing; everything has been included!
-
New custom cockpit system that also brings a load of new gauges to the table, giving you a nice and easy system that is simple to manage and a lot easier on the eye than other cockpit systems, especially in an aircraft as varied as this can potentially become
-
Gauges are built around a physics system that works with the real physics of the aircraft and roar into life when the vibrations start to kick in; you'll really feel the aircraft start to come alive around you when you first decide to start taking off from ground!
-
A completely natural 3D remake has been carried out, using hours of footage and information that has been sourced and verified. This means that you get a remake of the aircraft that looks, feels and acts just like the real world counterpart so you can get a genuinely deep understanding
-
This then allows you to become a more dedicated, impressive pilot. Getting those little things down is so important and the cockpit shape and design of the Thunderbolt makes that a little easier than ever - despite being transported back to an old-school cockpit, you'll still have everything that you could possibly need
-
Pure3D instrumentation has been included to make sure that the aircraft operates correctly with a more realistic physics system; now, your aircraft shouldn't be able to defy the rules of the world and simple do as it pleases! The new physics changes improve authenticity & performance massively
-
A naturally animated pilot to make sure that you are seeing everything that you ask to happen actually occur; no more wondering who pressed the cockpit buttons and who is actually flying the aircraft thanks to these minor yet extremely rewarding pieces of detail that help bring everything directly together again
-
Real-time load manager to make sure that you can get all of the help that you need in loading passengers and cargo onto the aircraft without having to quit and start all over again from scratch - no more time wasted and no more flights ruined because you want to make a minor change
Accu-Sim Add-On
Despite all of the fantastic changes that have been introduced into FSX via the modding community, sometimes you will still feel like the little things are missing. Those tiny intricate additions that can make or break a flight can be hard to come across, but with ACCU-SIM you will find that almost every flight that you take part on will be full of new challenges and changes that you were not quite expecting to ever appear in a flight simulator - in short, you can make things a lot more like the real world!
Flying is something that training and preparation can only half-prepare you for; when you have a plane with hundreds of lives on-board an engine has cut out due to damage, what are you going to do? How should you react? If you aren't sure, then your flight simulator isn't giving you a big enough challenge! However, with the help of ACCU-SIM, you can put these old problems to bed once and for all and make flying a legitimately tough experience once again. Although FSX is arguably the most refined flight sim ever released, it still misses those small details that can make the whole thing feel better.
This is where ACCU-SIM comes in; it's the brainchild of so much hard work and endeavor from A2A Simulations, and the final product is absolutely sublime. In this package, you'll get an ACCU-SIM edition that's specifically modeled around the P-47 Thunderbolt. This means that when you take to the skies in this machine you'll find that the entire experience will be different to your vanilla FSX experience; instead of just taking off regardless of the weather, the world around you has to be explored and observed.
Getting every last aspect of the flight right is surprisingly easy for intermediate players on FSX; with ACCU-SIM, though, even the veterans are sent back to the drawing board. So many little things pop up that would be the kind of thinking a pilot would be expected to go through - with this package, you'll be assisted in actually thinking like a pilot.
Rather than just going for what FSX needs you to do, you'll be learning the genuine flight protocols from across the globe because you'll need to. Whilst ACCU-SIM ups the level of realism and asks more questions of the user than the original edition ever could, it's not something that newbies should avoid. Even if you've never used a flight simulator before, have all of that extra information and data to learn and play with can be an immensely gratifying experience.
Nothing comes more naturally to the world of aviation than making things a challenge, though, and this ACCU-SIM installation will help you ramp up the difficulty level and really make those big days even more rewarding. If you want to hit the big time as a virtual pilot and really master everything that there is to learn about flying virtually, this will teach you.
Accu-Sim Features
-
The vast majority of the actual operational habits of your aircraft will have changed for good; no longer will you be dealing with the droll and dour style of flying that has become the staple of many simulators - you'll be able to genuinely make flying a challenge again!
-
Getting around in ACCU-SIM is far more difficult than it once was - you won't be able to just scrape by any longer. Mistakes and abuses of the aircrafts power will be punished in one way or another, and this encourages you to fly responsibly and to take care of your aircraft as best you can
-
Nothing makes flying easier, though, than having so much power and control; ACCU-SIM brings a devastating array of control to your hands and makes flying an aircraft as powerful as it's ever been in a virtual format. This edition of ACCU-SIM brings the best points of the Razorback to the forefront, and ensures that the aircraft you'll be flying has everything that it is supposed to have already installed
-
These important little touches brought in by the mod help to really stabilize the whole experience - important parts of flight protocol that had been neglected previously are back with a bang, and ensure that your aircraft is going to operate exactly as it's supposed to - from the realistic water injection system needed to fly the aircraft properly, to the physics-based sound systems that help bring the volume to you as you fly; aviation has never been so beautiful
-
Numerous changes have been included in the cockpit; including extensive reworking's of the gauge physics. Instead of just being there and having a nice function in terms of completing the cosmetic feel, everything from the magnetic compass to the vibrating airframe ensure that your aircraft looks and feels the part. These multiple changes are extremely useful for helping you really learn the aircraft
-
Every single addition included has been included due to the fact it not only fits with real-life aviation, but it's fully applicable to the Razorback. This lets you take part in using a completely authentic edition of one of the most impressive aircraft that has ever flown before
-
This aircraft has been completely rebalanced to make sure that its flight dynamics and how it actually operates mid-air are just as you would have hoped for; everything that you might expect from overheating to problems with spark plugs can send the aircraft into overdrive - this is just the way a real flight would be; entirely unpredictable, even with your best concentration and overall efforts to get things done right
-
This adds a nice level of unpredictability to things; FSX is a fantastic simulator, but it can be a bit too "easy" for some due to the lack of random problems that can occur. This is a huge part of the lifeblood of a flight simulator, so if you want the challenge to return you might want to consider giving ACCU-SIM a go with your new aircraft!
