Dash 8 Series for FSX/P3D

This is one monster of a package that has way more in it than you would expect for a download of this size. If you're maybe a little bit tired of some of liveries, or you get bored of them easily and making your own isn't your thing, then Virtualcol FS Software have got you covered. Offering you a huge injection of variation into your virtual hangar for very little cost.

The whopping one hundred and forty-nine liveries included in this package come spread across four different variants of the Bombardier Dash 8, which is a medium ranged, turboprop airliner that's not too intimidating, even for rookie pilots. So if you're moving up from smaller training aircraft, this is fairly safe pick; each model has a multi graphic user manual to get you going, so you won't be flying blind.

I'm not sure if I will ever personally fly every single livery in this package - there are almost too many to choose from. This does mean that you can all but guarantee that there will be something in here for everyone. Since every livery is listed in the feature list above, you could always search for the real life equivalent online to see how many strike your fancy. Either way, the shear amount that you get will keep you flying your Dash 8 for some time, as there are always new experiences to be had.

Seeing as this is mainly a livery pack, I wasn't surprised that the models are not absolutely amazing. Not to say that they're not good, because they are. In fact, they are better than some of aircraft that I've picked up in the past. They are not crazy detailed but they do have the added bonus of being incredibly frame rate friendly. And even though they don't have all the bells and whistles that some really expensive downloads do, each of the four models do have some nice features.

All four models also feature a virtual cockpit, where you'll find functional gauges and panels, as well as a 2D panel, as well as having accompanying ground services. Original propeller sounds have helped this aircraft to stand out from the other turboprops in my hangar, but nothing does a better job of that than the versatility and variation that this one offers.

Very nice for the amount paid. FMC is good, the systems that are modeled work properly, and flight dynamics are superb!(for the price)

The only downside (an extremely small one at that) is the startup and shutdowns are very fast, click the starter and the engine kicks up to full revs in about 10 seconds (no prop wind up at all, really) but that is extremely minor, and doesn't matter much in the big picture

Overall a very good Dash-8!!

It is just as well that this is at a special price. The manual is written in something that is supposed to be English but you will need patience to understand what on earth it is telling you. It is absolute rubbish. Why they couldn't get an English speaker to write the manual is a mystery.

If you don't have the $60 to spend on the majestic dash 8, this plane is a perfect replacement. It isn't as detailed but what can you expect for £8, it flies well and runs well on lower spec systems.

This is an awesome package. It has so many repaints and 3 versions of the plane. I'm really loving the 400. The impressive avionics and flight realism are great to fly. Everything works masterfully.

Nice aircraft to fly and learn about dash 8 series planes. I fly for a virtual airline and these will come in handy for some tours. Great price too.

Great addon for prepar3D works great if you just wanna do a little bit of commercial flight. It looks, sounds and fly's great, I recommend buying.

Downloaded quickly and easily. Very good value. Over 30 aircraft. Flying and operating instructions not really good enough but plenty on u tube.

Incredibly good. Details of aircraft, user manuals and available liveries could not be better. An extraordinary achievement by the producers

Excellent value - how may downloads do I have left or is it only single.? Have changed PC's and wish to download.

Do this work on the FSX:Steam Edition? Im thinking of buying it but it would be sad if it doesnt fit.
