First released in 1964, the King Air brand managed to really start to capture the market and became a really impressive civil utility aircraft that had style, power and class all rolled into the one neat little package. As an aircraft, though, it impresses on almost every single scale making it obvious to see why it still gets used even today!
The aircraft was the first in its class to be in a continuous form of production and outsold just about every turboprop competitor that it ever came up against combined. With over 3,000 sales of the aircraft itself ever since it was first released in the first place, it's very easy to see why this aircraft was so popular once you look at its history.
Whilst it faces a bit more competition today from the Beechcraft Premier I and the Cessna Citation Mustang, this still manages to dominate the marketplace and is the go-to choice for people more than 50 years later.
The C90B was a key part of the regime, though, and was released in the early 90s as it rose to prominence and became a very important part of the future of the company. It came with various changes like four bladed propellers, making it an improved equivalent of its predecessor in the series, the C90A.

The King Air C90B is another great add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004, developed by the Carenado team. Carenado are known for producing top quality aircraft with great aesthetics and features, and this one is no exception. Sporting special effect sounds and animations, it's well worth considering it for a permanent place in your virtual hangar.
Carenado have created a very smooth and accurate model of this twin-turboprop, that holds up well when compared to photographs of the real thing. Shines and reflections are accurate and clear, both inside and out.
The original EFIS (Electronic Flight Instrument System) comes installed, along with the Carenado GPN530 and GPN400. While a customizable panel allows you to control the transparency of windows, instrument reflections and various static elements like sight props so that you can create the perfect visuals for screen shots or camera views.
Realistic flight characteristics have been implemented so that this model behaves just like the real thing, even down to the weight and balance; the flight dynamics were tested by real pilots to ensure it's accuracy. The sound set for this aircraft consists of high quality digital stereo sounds, recorded directly from a real PT6A engine. Improved with four-bladed propellers and propeller synchronizing, the C90B had a much quieter cabin than it's predecessor, leading to a more relaxing in flight experience. Combine all of that with authentic lighting effects on the exterior, the panel and the cockpit, and you have the makings for some truly immersive flights.
A total of six unique liveries are included with this package, ranging from a stylish white, black and red paint scheme, to a more traditional pin stripe design. Additionally, there is a high resolution blank texture to use as a template for your own repaints should you wish to add this aircraft to your already established fleet.
Performance tables and emergency check-lists are some of the numerous PDF's you'll find with this package, all of which are there to help you master control and flight of this aircraft. Whether your a veteran pilot or it's your first time flying a twin-turboprop, Carenado have you covered.
