A great addition to your virtual hangar, Carenado's Beechcraft A36 Bonanza is a wonderful representation of the general aviation aircraft, complete with deluxe interior and redesigned instrument panel. Available as an immediate download and compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator X and Lockheed Martin Prepar3D.
A beautifully detailed, polygon optimized model, comes complete with a choice of four sleek and clean liveries, as well as a plain white livery that you can use as a template to stretch your create muscles and create your own unique livery. Fresnel shader maps allow for realistic reflections and lighting across the entirety of the aircraft model. Along side dynamic shadows and both volumetric and specular maps that help this A36 Bonanza feel tangible and authentic. Many of these extend into the 3D modeled and interactive cockpit area, and the passenger cabin area, so that the interior of the aircraft is as good looking as the outside.
The flight characteristics of this aircraft have been tested by real pilots, to ensure that the feel of the aircraft is as true to life as possible - from its weight and balance, to its overall behavior. And with a host of moving parts and animated sections, as well as original, high quality digital stereo sounds that have been recorded from the A36's real life counterpart, the finished model feels incredibly faithful and is a joy to fly.
There are a few quality of life additions, such as the ability to toggle the yoke on and off and separate light switches for the instrument light and the cabin light. A pop up A36 manual gives you fast and easy access to both normal and emergency checklists, and saves you from needing to have hard copies lying around or having to minimize the flight simulator. Moreover, there is a customizable panel that you can use to adjust settings like window transparency, instrument reflections and various static elements, allowing you tweak everything to what you consider to be the most realistic.
This A36 Bonanza is no stranger to Carenado's special treatment; from the aesthetics to the performance, every aspect is of this aircraft is designed with the quality and care that Carenado puts into every aircraft that they deliver.

FSX Steam If you're like me, you stick to mainly single and multi engine piston aircraft for sim. I mainly do that because that's the kind of crafts I'd be flying. I really like what Carenado did with the interior especially with the ASPEN avionics. I don't know many craft that have that feature and it's different than using Garmin/King HSI avionics, so that's very nice. I have Carenado's V35B craft as well, and I miss the fuel flow metering gauge, it is really nice and would be better used in the A36 than the visual digital EGT indicator which is really not that useful in the sim as it doesn't really work as an analyzer. If you lost a piston, I suppose it would aid in diagnosing that.
How does it fly? Very nice just like the V35B, Carenado has done very well on both. It's smooth handling through turns and turbulence. It rotates very nicely regardless if you trimmed up a little or not or even without a notch of flaps it will come nicely off the ground vs. some craft I've had that want to jump off or float on ground affect if you don't set everything perfect before take off for the conditions. Not the Bonanzas they feel like a fine Cadillac. Cruise speed is good for this aircraft. I'm impressed Beechcraft is able to stretch a fuselage and get similar performance with the same engine and this model reflects that with 160+ Knots GS with no head wind and more with tail wind 10k MSL. Not so good in a head wind and it doesn't like the low oxygen altitude. I think the specs say the non turbo is like 15-16k. You're not gonna like getting up there and the ride is fairly slow. This is something I wish I could get, a turbo A36 or turbo Arrow IV, but maybe I'll ask Carenado about that. But this craft is as advertised and worth it.
